Depart LAX on Singapore Airlines arrive Kota Kinabalu overnight at the Shangri La http://www.shangri-la.com/en/index.aspx The next day we travel from KK by plane to Tawau where we will be met by the staff of the Sipidan Water Village http://www.swvresort.com/ and be taken by air-conditioned coach (60min) to Semporna where we'll be taken by water taxi to the resort (30min). You'll spend the next 8 days 7 nights diving (3 dives per day unlimited shore diving) between Mabul, where some of the best & most unusual macro diving is available and Sipadan Island where the large marine creatures reside including more turtles than I've ever seen in any one place in my life. You'll stay in luxurious cottages above the water and be treated to 3 gourmet meals per day.

There are several options including white water river rafting on either the Pandas or Kilulu rivers, (I've done the Pandas), an over night to Sepilok and the Orang Utan Sanctuary with river tour to see Howler Monkeys, pigmy elephants, and more, also there's a overnight trip to the North to spend the night in a traditional Kalamatan long house and travel the river.
